Ayam Cemani

You don't have to pay a lot if you don't mind a mulberry comb and wattles, white toenails, or some leakage in the feathers.
I didn't pay a whole lot for mine and they're actually pretty decent quality.
From Gold feather farms.
Unfortunately that’s in the US, and I’m not. Nice quality though.

First of all, I bought this girl for $50 at her age of 5 months old. There’s is one day that she was setting in a nest box for 30 minutes and I was worry that she might dying. After that, I check her again and remove her from the nest box. She lay an egg, got really surprised and I put her with my 6 years old cemani cross rooster. Now she is broody at 6 and 1/2 months old. It’s really worth with my money I spend to go see and purchase her.

I breed her to this rooster who is a 3/4 cemani and 1/4 shamo. Hopefully I will have some nice coloring offsprings.

If anyone is in Spain or I guess elsewhere in Europe, I would be interested to sell hatching eggs. Open to offers/swaps not after a high price, would just be for fun and to buy more feed with proceeds. Message me if interested.

Does anyone have Cemani in cold temperatures??? I was just trusted with a breeding flock, we have them in quarantine right now but wondering how they fair outdoors in canadian winters...

our outdoor flock is Isbar/Wyandotte/ Orpingtons. They live in a shelter that isn’t insulated But keeps them out of the wind and snow. We put flax bales around the base so snow can’t get in when the time comes.

We are in Kansas City and having a rough winter and they seem to fair just as well.
