I just ran across an article that says these chickens cost $2500 each. Do people really spend that kind of money on a chicken?

The price is down now, but yes, people were buying them for that much. They are absolutely gorgeous birds. I have a breeding flock myself.

Wow. Will you post a picture of your breeding flock? I think they are beautiful.
