i have mine in a child's play pen. and i have lots of air freshener. it's easy to clean. i wrap the pad for the play pen in 2 sheets and then put a told on top of the pad, folded in half and then also wrap a towel around the pad. it's easy to clean. i shake off poop in my grass and fertilize my mom's plants then wash the towels. it doesn't stink at all. i hope she lets you! good luck

To start off with day olds need to be kept at 80 degrees - lower it by 5 degrees for each week of age until 6 weeks or so of age. I would advise they be kept inside the house for the first two weeks based only on the cuteness factor alone - After that they do tend to get smellier and harder to keep clean so that would be a better time to have them in the garage.

But of course I dont have a mum to contend with and keep my ducklings where ever I like anyway. Best of luck with those little ones.
