Azithromycin for chicken with possible egg rupture? pics inluded

You can start her on the azithromycin and use it up. Then switch to another one. You are not at all irresponsible. Asking questions and learning is far from being irresponsible.

Thank you. So, erythromycin would work for now until I get the aquamox? Someone i know recommended penicillin, would that work better?

Not better. Penicillin is okay, but it has its limitations. I've quit using it due to so many humans being allergic to it. It's also a conductor of crop yeast.

So the saga continues...I got the erythromycin (its all i could get asap) and its in a packet...because it's for fish and it goes in their water. So, I'm researching how to give it to them (in their water? In water and in a syringe?) Any thoughts?

It's administered by mixing into drinking water. 20 mg/kg bw/day via drinking water for broiler chickens and laying hens.

That's 20mg per each two pounds of weight mixed into enough water to be consumed per day. Fourteen days. No egg withdrawal.

Ok, this is what I think I am going to do, although I am not sure it will work as she is getting worse by the day. The packet is 200mg for 10gal of water. If she needs 20mg per day, I will divide the packet by 10 and put 1/10 of it in 1 gallon of water. She is not wanting to eat or drink now, so I will have to put some in a syringe to get it down her. It's not looking good for chickipoo. :( If my plan sounds incorrect, please advise. Thank you!

Nevermind all, she is gone. Just went out and she has passed. Wish I could have done more, but she went pretty quick. I will learn from this and perhaps be better prepared on the chance it happens again. Thank you all for your help, I sincerely appreciate gleaning from your expertise and wisdom. Take care!
