June at 6 months has been a pretty hefty layer since she started popping these lovely blue eggs out in August. There's been a couple of double yolks, which is always an interesting sight.

Two of my Royal Palm turkeys have started laying this week, these are about the size of the other pullets eggs that have also been laying since August, so I can only image they will get bigger as the girls get more experienced in laying.

ANYWAYS, the point of this, I think June is doing her best to hold onto the title of laying the largest eggs in the henhouse, she laid this whopper yesterday and I couldn't help but share.

There is a silkie egg, two turkey eggs, three pullet eggs that have been laying for about 2 months and Junes title holder.

Anyone else have a lady that goes above and beyond?

Thank you!! Its always fun making up the cartons for family and friends. Since my Jenny's started laying I've heard a lot of "I didn't even know turkeys laid eggs" I'm positive that MOST people are forgetting the "that you can eat" part but I mean an egg is an egg right?
Junes egg weighed 3oz and the turkeys only weighed 2oz 😅 ouch is right.
I just loove the speckles of the royal palms eggs. The shell is rougher and much thicker than I expected.

Wow that’s a great egg! A wonderful looking collection in the bowl as well.
Yesterday one of my Azure Blues laid a giant egg as well. Maybe they’re getting ready for Halloween?
