B’duccle loosing feathers, bleeding feet

Hi, I’m in England.
Checked her skin for mites and couldn’t see any so didn’t use the diatom- just put lots inside coop .
Put Vaseline on feet as looks like she has scaly leg but don’t know if that annoyed her more as seemed to be picking it off her feathers!
With feather loss looks like some new one so growing back ?
Il attach some pics , thanks
It does look like she has new growth coming in, most likely she broke a blood feather and that was the cause of the bleeding.
Birds with feathered feet-it can be hard to tell if scales are raised because of feathers or SLM. She does have raised scales, so I would continue working the vaseline or some type of oil into and underneath the scales of the feet/legs.

She's young, so going through some mini molts (juvenile molt). I would see that she's drinking and eating well. Chick starter or an all flock type feed (18-20% protein) at least until she comes into lay. As for the subdued behavior - keep watch on her - often when growing in new feathers, birds are quite 'touchy' and don't like to socialize much, they are sensitive and don't like to be handled.

Thanks for feedback . I will keep close eye on her.

Hey I don’t know if this helps at all, but I’m also in the UK and have a sablepoot booted bantam who is a similar age who was exhibiting similar signs recently. She had lost some foot feathers, which you could tell and also found them round the coop (and they are obvious because they are so stiff). She’d also lost feathers on her tummy... so much so that I found what seemed like a handful of feathers in a nest where only she had been laying. She’s usually a very friendly bird, but also went “off” a bit and acted strange (hard to describe but generally not as friendly as normal).
Anyway, a few weeks late she turned out to be broody! And is indeed now brooding 5 x Polish eggs for me. I don’t know if those signs were ‘pre-cursors’ to bring broody (maybe the tummy feathers were, and may explain her behavioural change I guess).
Just thought I would let you know in case yours goes the same hormonal way 😂
Good luck with your bird, she’s a beautiful colour 😍
Oh, and I may also need to treat mine for leg mites once she’s finished brooding as her legs look very similar to yours - I’d assumed it was just because of her feathery feet.

Thanks for the info.
They are lovely arnt they. She has been broodie on and off so it could be something to do with it. Funny actually because I had a peking bantam hatch some chicks recently and today she spent time sunning herself next to them . Maybe she annoyed she didn’t get to hatch any!

That’s really funny... you do wonder what goes through their heads sometimes!
