Black spots on Waddles and Combs HELP!!!! (Photos Added Now)

It looks like it's from pecking. I have a little serema roo that got into a "fence fight" through his cage with my barred rock hen when I tried to introduce him yesterday. They both now have the same black scabs on their waddles and combs. I have had other hens get it, also. Maybe your older cockerels are just fighting it out for the top spot, and that is why your younger ones don't have any scabs. It will heal and go away, no worries

Not if they are playing chicken games....LOL
If the pecking order is being established or re-established, it's normal. If a new chicken was integrated, it's normal. If a rooster or roosters are maturing and starting to mate, it's normal.

Is there another rooster? And if so have you observed them sparring at all? I let our flock out of the coop the other morning and both my Cochin roosters had black scabs on their waddles and combs that were not there the night before. They started fighting in the run as well. Their beaks are slightly barbed so they cause minor injuries. They can even take a chunk out of a waddle too.
