B-day coming up and i want a dog: help me

I'm not sure I'd get a terrier with birds, although I can't say too much. I've got two labs

I'd go with a non-sporting breed though because they're going to give you more trouble then say, a teacup poodle. lol... you can find specific breed rescues too if you're interested in a certain breed. Good luck!! Just remember how much work puppies are. My year old lab has a terrific habit of eating corn cobs that we put out for deer. This morning I got the wake up call from my fiance who was leaving for work that he had diarrhea all over the basement. That was fun to clean up at 6 am.

I agree about the terrier and your chickens. There is a good book called The Right Dog For You. You should go through that and see what kind of dog fits your lifestyle and what you need in a dog and then go find that dog. It's worth the research in the long run. I agree that that dog is cute though but you want one that you won't be frustrated with.

My chickens dont free range anyways there are way to many predators here in Georgia. She is not my definite decision but just one idea.
