Hi my jap quail are hatching, just 3 so far!! 1st Hatch so pretty Happy!

BUT!!!!!! Notice One Egg is Pipping from Wrong End (pointy) Should I assist

because I think that End is Harder Shell, don't want any to die in shell... How long should I wait to intervene? 12 hours? 24 hours? it "IS" a bit nerve racking... especially 1st hatch waiting 16 days thinking nothings gonna happen & then WahLAH... Any advice most Welcome...

Hope all went well with your hatch. So sorry you didn't get an answer.

You are in the same position as you would be if hatching chickens. If you open the bator, I assume they are in a bator, you risk losing the other eggs. We have all reached in to help one, if another doesn't hatch or is shrink wrapped, you'll wonder if you caused it.
