Hello! Not sure if this thread is still active but I'm hoping so! I have a silver grey dorking roo (approx 12 weeks) that I believe to be either mixed with a red dorking or another breed as he is getting iridescent wing/side feathers along with red feathers coming in on the sides of his body. Any insight would be greatly appreciated!

Humm. It has been a couple years since I hatched mine but I don't remember any of that type coloring popping out. You could be correct. Hopefully someone who is working with them recently will chime in.

That does now look like an SG Dorking. Does it have 5 toes and what color are the legs?

It is most definitley a SG but I think he is crossed with something? He came from a broody who hatched a bunch of eggs and the person I got them from wasn't 100 percent sure of each of the breeds, though she breeds SG Dorkings amongst others. He has creamy pink legs and 5 toes. I just wonder why he has these iridescent feathers and red spotted feathers coming in, as SG Roos normally are all black and white, as far as I knew.

your guy is handsome he is a mix but still handsome how hany toes? dorkings usually dorkings have have five so it will tell you whether or not he is a dorking mix!

he has 5 toes. Definitley a dorking. I can't wait to see what he will look like! He sure is a handsome guy already and my sweetest boy, always the first to come visit me. Maybe it's because I come with treats but I like to think he loves me
