Congrats! Ugh so jealous over how nice it looks, and how well it matches the house!

(Not that I'd want to match my coop to my house, it's a pretty plain/boring house lol.)

Then how about spicing up the house so you can build a great coop! I've seen some pretty cool home transformations around me with just paint and sometimes a few added details. One of the looks that is big right now is the dark/gray blue house paint with the white trim- what a pop. Takes a blah brownish/greyish/beigish house and really makes a difference.

Our house is just... boxy. 3 big rectangles plopped next to each other with no distinguishing features. I plan on getting it repainted at some point (it's currently the most bland vanilla-beige) which should help a bit (and make it match our very-obviously-purple coop a bit more), but got some other projects ahead of that in line, like a new shed.

Hi, so last update here... because it's DONE! Woohoo! A 20-Day build. Started on 4/2 finished on 4/22. Excited to have it finished, for sure. I will probably write up an article in case my experience can help people on their builds.

Here are the final pictures and some extras to show how it sits on the land with the house. Thanks to everyone for the kind words and especially to @aart for pointers, tips and a little nudging!

Ha! I have one, you just can't see it in that picture because a tree is blocking it. It's over the garage on the left. That's where the great idea came from. Now I know why the contractor charged me so much for it! That is probably the first and last cupola I will ever build.

Great build! Love the details you put into it, thanks for sharing. Wish I could do a wire floor here, too cold though.

It's actually not a wire floor. Just a wire predator skirt. It extends about 2 feet out from the edge of the exterior boundary. I've got it stapled to the edge of the coop. Just lazy and haven't put some mulch over it.

Guessing they are speaking to the OP.......no quote tho, so <shrugs>
