Babby quail on litter HELP!!

I have 1 week old bobwhite in brooder on pine shavings , they are starting to peck in their own poop I change their litter every 2 days Should I put them on wire instead of litter Also at what age can you start them on wire

sometimes they eat poo it's normal

You CAN put them on wire but theres no need to if the only worry is them eating some doodie

If you're worried abotu worms from them eating their own poo I wouldnt be.... the issue of worms in poo is from being in contact with the ground and from adult birds that are carries of it (like cocci). Chicks can be carriers of worms too but just saying

the only thing i see wrong in that brooder is pine shavings...they can cause respiratory issues

Yep They Routinely "recycle" At That Age. Fix The Pine Shavings And You'll Be Good!
