Here are some chicks that hatched last week and this week. They are some of the cutest white, black and blue chicks. Oh, also some buff splash. They will be the brown looking ones with the white stripes. A few black orps and one splash in the mix too. They wouldn't spread out for a good pic. They get a litttle scared when the box opens.

I am sure hoping for a good hatch for you. I have got to quit hatching. I have two more rounds in the bator. Then no more for about three months. I am trying to sell everything layed right now so I won't hatch or have to eat them. I always think man there could be a cutie in that egg. I have chicks in the house and three boxes in the storage house.

That silly hen went broody on me a week ago. I have her on wire right now till she starts laying again. This is no time of the year to have broodies unless you have and indoor facility.

I know what you mean. I went out this afternoon to pick eggs, and had a whole 2 eggs. I put ceramic eggs in the nesting boxes about a month ago. It's been working well to let them know where to lay. Well, guess what, those crazy broodies have decided to hatch the ceramic eggs. So, I pulled them all. Crazy chickens......
