Baby chickies totally lifted my spirits today. I was having a rotten day at work and when I came home I got lots of baby love. Who knew chics could be therapeutic?

Rontaco looks like she's wearing granny panties!

I can't believe how much I am enjoying them. I couldn't wait to get home from work today so I could pile them up on me like Snow White!

I find that chicks and chickens both prove beneficial to your health. I'm not sure if it's just the fact that they need you and enjoy you, or their fluffy bottoms and carefree nature. I think that blissfulness is contagious!!

My girls are hilarious, that's for sure. I wish they could stay little chicks for forever! Their narcoleptic napping habits keep me in stitches. They fall asleep mid-peep! The best is when little Maria rests her tiny penguin head on my hand for a nap when I'm holding her. I do my best to sit very still and not disturb her. Fortunately for me, most of her naps only last a minute or so.

Aw!! What breed is she? I would love to have one... Lol. Their naps are short, aren't they?

Maria is the youngest of three Black Star chickies. Her sisters are a tiny bit older than her, maybe a week? I'm not sure, they were all together in a big bin at the breeder's facility. Anyway, that's what she is supposed to be anyway! The breeder also has Australorps and I'm thinking it's possible this one got mixed in, but I suppose time will tell! She's the sweetest little thing you ever did meet. She likes to sit on my shoulder and nuzzle my neck.
