Babies have arrived! Pics! And now with video!

I took Pepper and Mocha to our little Chamber of Commerce (I'm a member) today to show them to a friend. They loved the ride! I forgot to get pictures, though. My friend gave them a shiny candy bar wrapper and it kept them amused for a good 10 minutes. They didn't get upset at all!

So disappointed in you for not taking pics!

No, I just stuffed them in their carry tote with a towel on the bottom. They were good and stinky by the time we were finished. Stinky ducks.

Nobody seemed to mind, though.

We spent an extended period of "semi-supervised" time outside today. Other than Pepper and Abba chasing Peek and Poke all over the pen a few times, it went rather well.

Today was the day we had to clean all the shavings out of the kiddie pool brooder. Not bad, they made it a week before starting to smell (I've been picking up poops and wet bedding daily). MUCH better than the tub. Anyway, I figured it would be a good time to just let them go play in the pen, and they had a great time. Mud and kale for everyone!

They're getting REALLY big.

love your wind chimes. The peeping of the 4 big babies is cute. It was funny just watching each of the 6 individuals just doing their own things themselves.

Thank you! I love the chimes so much. They're a real soother when I'm working. Sometimes I just close my eyes and listen to them to relax.

It really looks like they're adapting to the outside pretty well, so I'm going to keep putting them out there for longer periods each day. When the time comes for them to move out, it should be a fairly smooth transition.

Also, we're starting the duck house tomorrow. Progress today consisted of shopping for siding and actually purchasing 3 hinges for the door.

Oh, Harley managed to get flipped over onto her back again, and when we saw her, she was just laying there upside down in the mud like she couldn't figure out what to do. When I went to go rescue her, she managed to struggle over onto her feet before I got there, but it was so weird. She was just laying there not moving.

Haha, I'm glad she made it upright!

We built our pen and put my guys out today. My back is killing me! Lol But those little guys are worth it. I hope it wasn't too early, but it was getting way too smelly in the house. Tomorrow will be my day to get them a pool! I won't keep it full over nights for a while, but let them slosh around during the day.
