Yes, they are one week today, well, the first to hatch anyway. 2 more days went by for them all to arrive.

I know they’re still too young at a week old but any thoughts on genders? Maybe, if I can catch them, I’ll post pictures to make updated guesses once a week.

My roo chicks combs always grew faster and got red much more quickly. It’s really hard to tell now tho

Yes, so I’m hoping to see weekly any comb changes. I did notice a couple of mine have definite points on their combs while others are smooth. At this age that’s probably just the result of mixed genes, right? (They’re all mutts)

Having phone problems so I hope this works. The pictures were taken Friday which is 2 days before the first hatched turned 2 weeks old.

Mama isn'thappy about it but just makes concerned sounds as she keeps an eye on the baby. The babies are skittish. Unfortunately I'vehad a few situations home that prevented me from spending my days happily playing with baby chooks. That and rain.
They need a bit more growing I know, but a friend thinks they see two male possibilities. Anyone else?

Administration, is there a way to move this thread to the 'raising chicks' (I forget the exact name) forum section? I think I started this in the wrong place.

@yakitori I got the Android and can’t believe how bad it has become since I last owned one 18 months ago! Had to go back again and finally upgrade back to iPhone.

So here’s 22-24 days old! Seeing much more definition.

I’m still on the old iphone SE...5 years old now I think? Not fancy at all, but it still works fine!
