Well the little ones were doing great this morning. The five of them are settling right in together. My older BO/BCM is letting the little ones snuggle right up under him just like he has done with the banty Silkie since they were born

The little sexlink definitely has the biggest personality and has no qualms about chasing the bigger ones or pecking at their faces and toes. Luckily the big guys are tolerating it so far.

I think the little black and white one is now named Penguin the Chicken and the blue with the black face is Emu the Chicken

I've got an 8 week old Faverolle that we named Pidgeon the Chicken and it's been down hill from there. I don't know why it's funny to us to name the new babies after other birds but it seems to be our new thing

Yep, it's a little digital thermometer. I usually put it in when they're really little just to make sure things are comfortable in there but once they're a week or two old and are thoroughly buried the thing within minutes of changing the bedding I take it out and just judge by how they cluster under the lamp
