I moved the 10 day old girls to their "big girl" brooder last night. I was very nervous and chceking on them a lot. I went out and three of my girlies were laying on their side, wings spread out, looking dead! I started to rip the lid off, and they looked up at me like "What ma?". It was then I remembered reading on this board about chickens and sun bathing. I watched them some more and they would wander under the light, lay on their side and spread their little wings out. Now that I know what it is, it is adorable![IMG]

On a bad not it was cold here last night and the brooder temp dipped a little more than I would have liked to overnight. I even checked the temp at midnight. Tonight an extra light will be turned on before I go to bed! ALl babies seem great this morning so I am assuming all is well!

So cute - you do get used to their antics eventually!
