We have been watching and worrying for a couple days now and had passed the 21 day mark and were about to give up. We got home tomight and my daughter asked if she could go check on mama and the eggs. Off she went.

We have at least 2 babies! One was out of the box and chirping its little head off so we put it right back in (after oohing and aahing and saying hello.) We could hear at least one more under her. Mama was even more narrow minded about us fooling with her now that she has hatched her first couple.

These are our first chicks! Her first chicks! I'll get some pics in the morning!

We went out this morning and cleaned out her kennel. Just picked up her whole box and cleaned out and put it back. Count so far is 1 hatched and one pipped best we can tell. Boy she is grumpy! Maybe she will make a good mama.
