Hello

My batch of coturnix quail eggs have started hatching but on day 15. I think that's way too soon and my temp and humidity are correct. It has been a few hours and they are looking extremely tired and sick compared to the chicks that hatched on day 18. Are they going to be okay?

It's highly unlikely that your thermometer is reading correctly if your chicks are hatching days early.

Are the chicks still in the incubator or do you have them in a brooder?

Have you calibrated the thermometers? If they're hatching this early, either your temperature was high, or the eggs were kept warm enough to start to develop before you put them in the incubator.

I still have them inside of the incubator and the thermometer that I am using is from Govee that has over 13000 reviews that are 4 and a half stars. Here is a link to it: Thermometer

How long ago did they hatch?
Do you have a warm brooder ready for them?

I don't care how many reviews the thermometer has on the internet...that means absolutely nothing to me.

Did you calibrate it once you got it?
