So, backstory...
Our Mallard was killed last week. These are her eggs. When we found them, they were cold. It was less than 24 hours before we put the eggs in the incubator. I'm worried about the drastic drop in humidity and temp for the hours/day before we put them in the incubator. Some eggs have cracks probably from the attack.
It's day 31, babies are mallard and cayuga mix. Less active today than the last 2 days.
I attached a couple videos of a few eggs that have looked like this for the last 2 days with no external piping.
1. Are they fully through the internal membrane?
2. Could they be having problems hatching due to the drop in humidity and temp?
3. How long do I keep waiting?
4. Should I be assisting soon?
Thank you!!!
