is there any reason my muscovy does this?

hi all, I have 2 muscovy ducks that are 10 months old and 1 muscovy duck that is 3+ years old. 1 of my 10 month olds always lays down like this whenever I go in the coop. is there a reason for this? im not concerned, just curious.

She’s probably just showing normal breeding behavior.

When female ducks reach this age, they often squat or lie down like that to show they’re ready to be mated. Some will even do it for people they feel really safe and bonded with. As long as she’s acting normal otherwise, it’s nothing to worry about.
