Baby box turtle?

We’re going to go to the lake bc it’s a crossed the road. Turtles in their two. Lots of swampy areas.

Someone brought home a baby turtle from their work. It’s away from its home where they found it. We don’t know how to care for it nor what to do with it because it’ll get killed since it’s away from its home.

I fed my turtle soaked dog food. He did very well on it. I also offered fruit and vegetables. Dandelions are good.

My turtle was a tortoise. He lived on dry land. I have no idea how to care for water dwelling turtles.

well if u want to keep him id look up yelow eared pond slider diets. or cooter diets. but i think u already plan to release him. turtles arent hard to keep. i fed mine tetra fauna turtle food and the grew and grew. I miss them. but once they ate my fish they went back in the canal lol. and one was a florida soft shell. i loved her she was so pretty when i first caught her.

He was released into the lake swampy area. His belly was orange so we think a painted turtle. I hope he survived the night.

It's a painted turtle. They are very common. You could keep it and feed it turtle pellets it you could let it go by a pond.
