Baby buckwheat is a girl!

I was sitting beside the big brooder which houses the guineas last night and I heard a very high pitched 'buck wheat, buck wheat' coming from my lavender guinea! The pearl one was looking at her like "how are you doing that?" lol They are 5 weeks old, I didn't know they could call so early!

Thats what I was thinking. Cool if you can determine the sex that young. Mine probably just hatched on the 1st and 2nd. I am looking forward to finding out what I came out with. Would be nice to hear 'buck-wheat' in 5 weeks.

Some of mine are 5 weeks old too, and today I heard one say "buckwheat". It sounds quite a bit different from the adult call, but it is "buckwheat" nevertheless.
