Baby bunnies on the way!

Ugh I have split the babies up between the 2 does but if they were my does (6 of the rabbits are a friends) the black would diner! The blue doe has accepted the babies (the one that lost hers) but the black had to be made to nurse the babies and bit me. I have never had a doe like her. Oh wait I did...1 and I ate her after she killed her kits.
I can't wait for my doe to kindle. She accepts any babies she can get. Then I don't have to deal with the B*$@h bunny.

Oh, I feel for you!

Right now I have some very sweet does and bucks. I bought them from some great breeders that had already done all the hard work. I have one blue doe that I haven't bred yet because she has some issues with food agression and I don't trust her to breed her just yet. Unfortunately, she has the best body type of my does, and the worst temperament. The lady gave her to me. I have been working with her to see if I can help her work through the issue. So far she has improved about 80%. I hope to breed her this coming fall. I love a challenge.

I was thinking to breed her to a very, very, sweet buck I have and hopefully the babies won't have her temperament. I think she must have been bullied or not fed enough. I just don't know.

She lets me hold and groom her just fine, but going into her space is when she gets agressive. I hope you have had a tetanus shot! Good luck and keep us informed.

I had a tetanus about 3 or 4 yrs ago not counting the ones that I have gotten from giving animal shots. Lol

What kind of rabbits do you have?

Well my fourth doe just kindled. I have 2 girls that lost babies to cold and 2 who have babies.

I just finished drying these guys off and she had another. 2 so far have been still born and 3 got to cold outside before I brought her in.

Until I get my barn insulated and get electricity out there I am not sure I will breed after oct again. I don't care what the more experienced breeder said about rabbits being able to have babies just fine in winter. I don't like bunny cubes.
