I bought my cage Fran a farm store. Lol. Biggest wire one. For one that was way smaller, $40.00 so we went big. Lol. So if I put for to a cage I need to buy 1 more of those cages. Can do. O and can't forget the cages for my pregos. Lol. So now 2-3 more. All going in my little chicken coop. Lol. I might build a cheap lean-to type thing, who nows any ideas?

We are new to rabbits, and our first litter was born overnight. When we checked on them early this morning they were all dead. Does this happen often? I don't know why they died. Do they need an extra heat source? They were in the nest, buried in the fur, but it seems strange that they would have all been dead.

Yes you usually lose the first litter.

Are you sure they were born overnight? Unless they were all stillborn then they usually take 48-72 hours to starve.

Yes, we checked several times yesterday and last night and the next was empty.

@athenaz317 just checking. I have heard its common for first time mothers to lose litters but mine just had 7 and 1 was stillborn and another died (got into other does cage and when I found it and put it back she and the other littermates rejected it).

We lost our first litter too in March, but we still ended up with 10 babies from two other mama's. It is still hard to see the little defenseless bunnies deceased. Sorry for your loss and better luck next time.
