I hatched out 3 baby button quail two weeks ago - they are growing up so fast! I though I'd do a thread so everybody could see them grow! Pictures taken a few minutes ago - Black one Buddy, Tan/lavender one Birdy, other one Itty Bitty. If anybody knows what colors I have - please let me know!

Thanks!

I am using a big plastic box. Can be bought at walmart. For the lid I use a wire cut to fit the top w/ duc tape around the edges.
I am trying to think what I am going to use as breeding pens! I'm thinking about just using the box they're in now ...

Do you have new-baby pics of them? I'm good at new-babies and adults, not so good on in-betweens

It looks like the dark one is a wild, the light (lots of white) is a redbreast, and the other is some kind of cinnamon.

Pictures! The first pictures - can you tell what gender they're yet?

Not at all, around 4-6 weeks old you can tell. The males will get red or pink colored feathers around their vents.

It looks like a redbreast (the yellow and black one that looks like it has a jacket on), a wild (dark stripey one), and the other looks like a cinnamon

So I guess I'm not as bad as I thought

Okay - the Black one wild color, yellow/black one redbreasted, ad the tan one a Cinnamon - Okay got it! Does anybody have a picture of what they'll look like when they're grown?
