Hey everyone,
Can anyone tell us what is likely wrong with her eye?
We are unsure what to do anymore. This little girl has been struggling with this eye problem now for a almost a week.
We started by treating her with polysporin eye drops, which didn't seem to do anything. (Couldn't even close her eye) We then switched to Aloe, which seems to have given her use of her eye back.
But now there doesn't seem to be any more improvement.
The ointment people keep recommending hasn't been available over-the-counter for over a year now. We would need a prescription to obtain something similar, and we want that to be our last resort.
Any help or further guidance would be much appreciated.

What state are you in? You could try Vetericyn eye wash or eye gel to use in her eye. Warm wet compresses would help to soak and soften any crusty drainage around the eye.

Terramycin eye ointment is still available as far as I know. You normally have to ask a clerk for it here, since those small boxes are easily stolen. Try getting it online. Edited to say, it seems you may be right about some states requiring a Rx. Tractor Supply does sell it online. Jefferspets.com has it online.

Vetropolycin ointment is available online and is equal to neosporin, but is for eyes.

Ciprofloxacin eye drops can be obtained from First State Vet Supply online as well, and would be supperior to Terramycin. A local vet (your regular trusted vet) would be the best best for proper medicines though.
