one of my baby chicks is non-stop gaping. it is much smaller then the others. seems week. we have given her a few drop of olive oil, and

1 cup warm water
2 teaspoons molasses
1/8 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon baking soda,

plus egg yoke in a syringe and chick nutridrench. in small amount.just to give her some energy. still seems week tho. these chicks are 10 days old. they did not have grit be for day 10. we gave it to them now. she seems 25-50% smaller then the other. no other chick are gaping. i have not seen her eat. but i think i might have seen her drink water

It may be failure to thrive, grit isn't needed if all they're eating is chick feed.

i felt her and did not feel air bubbles. she is much smaller then the other chicks. teh orange stuff on the bottom of her chin is egg yoke. i have wiped it off with warm paper towl and then dryed her off.

late this morning i found her on her back head a weard posishon. barly breathing. and barly gaping. there is nothing i can tgink to do for her i am watching her. to make shure the other chicks do not peck at her. she is under teh heating plate near. still alive. what should i do

Unfortunately , she's not likely to make it. It's very likely failure to thrive. I would just keep her warm until she goes unless you have someone who can put her down for you.

yes i do not think she will live i am keeping her warm. she looks liek she have splay neck.

Do you mean wry neck? That can be cured most of the time with a B complex vitamin regime.

I read splay neck can be caused by a vitamin deficiency. I think it’s vitamin E. The chick is up and walking around. She’s just been seeing getting a drink of water.
