Baby Chick Grit

Mi chicks are coming in nearly a week, and I would like to know is it a must to give them grit or not???

i didnt start to feed my chicks grit until i started to give them other foods other than their regular chick feed....

As long as you are feeding just chick starter grit is not necessary, but once you start giving treats they will need some form of grit.

I agree with the other posts. The feed store I buy my Starter/Grower feed from doesn't carry Chick Grit so I buy it from Tractor Supply Co. I'm sure they get enough while out in their run and the yard during the day, but I have it as free choice. I do give them treats.
