Baby chick has a weird looking bottom.

Is this a problem? Just got this one today. Had poop caked on bottom. Gently rinsed off and looks like this. No other symptoms. Very active, eating, drinking and pooping well.

Thank you! I'm a newbie and was worried it was some type of prolapse.

Just looks like its little b-hole is irritated, probably from the poop. You could either leave it be or apply something soothing like aloe or desitin.

When removing dried poop no matter how careful you are a little sometime a lot of the dawn comes with it. I would keep an eye on him/her to make sure it does not happen again.
