Baby Chick Heavily Breathing

Hi, I was wondering if someone could help me help my baby chick. It is constantly heavily breathing/gasping for air. I don't know how to help it breathe normally again, and I feel rushed because I fear it might pass away. Please Help!

No, not much. It is just staying under the lamp.

Do you know what the temperature directly below the lamp is ? Is the chick newly hatched. Has anything happened to the chick - dropped, something fallen on it -----------?

No, the temp is fine, It's a week old, and it never got hurt.

That's so weird. Did you listen with a stethoscope? It might be respiratory.

What is the temp(use a thermometer) on the floor under the lamp....
....and then at the far end of the brooder away from the lamp?

Were these chicks hatched by you, or purchased at a store or...?
What all, and how, exactly are you feeding them?

Have you been checking their butts for pasting?
