Hello,
I brought home 35 chicks last week. They're now 10 days to maybe 25 days old. One of my older chicks looks like it's hunched over when it walks. It also sort of looks like it's heavy breasted and walking sort of like an emu. I noticed it 4 days ago and nothing about its state has changed ;it eats, drinks and walks around. If anything, it isn't as energetic as the others and never picks little fights.
I'm aware SOMETHING is wrong with its development, but I don't know what! I'm hoping someone can tell me what it might be so I know now if little Igor is going to live a long life being like this or if it will start to suffer. I'll try to take a picture but have been unsuccessful before it moves!
Thank you!!

Not the best, but here is little Igor.

Did you feel it's crop? My chicks got a full feeling crop around that age. I very very gently massaged the crop for a couple seconds. Did this about three times a day until it went down. I don't know if I actually helped it. Or if it was just a stage they were passing through that cleared on its own. If it gets bad or doesn't change maybe massage the crop upward while holding it upside down like if you were treating an impacted crop? Just check and see if the crop is bulging first or it's it's something else.

It feels like a water balloon. I massaged it with the chick upside down in case it was sour. Nothing happened.
I put it in an aquarium with a heat lamp in my living room and took away its food and left it with water. I'll massage it again later. Any further suggestions out there?

She's still holding in there. Swelling has gone down, she's thrown up many times.
We've given her Monostat, yogurt and maggots. Sadly she doesn't keep much down and is continuing to get skinnier.
We're no longer hopeful :-(
