So I’m very new to the whole chicken business and my family and I got them for their eggs and we ended up getting 4 bantams and 2 Rhode Island reds and they’ve Ben quite a nice bunch to take care of. All of them eat, sleep, poop, and drink regularly and their seems to be no problem with them except for one of the Bantams. It’s a hen and to me it looks alright and has a normal diet and a nice enclosure with other chicks but it seems to be very very laid back. Maybe it’s normal but in case it’s not I hope you all can help. They are about just over a week old by now by the way

Some babies are just naturally laid back so hopefully she's ok :) my last home hatched clutch of 6 I have a pair of half sibs who couldnt act more different! Ones jumpy active and curious and the other is always napping, cant be bothered to explore and has no interest in anything 90% of the time lol but they're both 100% healthy, just funny characters

Some are just a bit odd, my one current Jersey Giant chick has always been lazy, and was slow growing intitially so I worried over it. It has now caught up and isn't quite as lazy as it was, but still a bit more mellow than the others.
