Baby chick making clicking noises?

I would inject it into the breast the at the .02 ml per pound rate, so in this case you would only give .02 ml.. If you use a small syringe insulin style it is only for 1ml and is marked for the small doseages.. Easy to do just don't stick it in the breast bone.

You can also use Vicks Salve on the beak for some relief.

We took her to the vet on May 1st and the vet told us it was an abscess, so they drained(?) it out or whatever, injected two shots into her breastbone, and gave us 2 medications to give to her orally, and one to drop into her right nostril everyday until it ran out.

I'm not sure if the medication worked or if the vet did a good job in taking the puss out because the lump under her eye came back and she still has a runny nose. Some days it looks smaller than usual, but her behavior is like a normal chicken.

Thanks! I have a week-old chick that makes clicking noises when I hold her up to my ear. She doesn't show any other symptoms and acts like a perfectly normal chick otherwise. Hopefully it's nothing serious.

I heard that clicking noises can be normal thing from a chick still having liquid in the lungs after being hatched, just keep a eye on her though just to make sure.

Alright, thanks! I think she is 9 days old today. She is very alert and active and eats and drinks normally.
