Baby chick missing bottom beak

You could try the wet food for a few days, then weigh her. Then if you try deep, dry food for the exact same period of time, then weigh her, that should tell you which is working for her.

My hunch is that she will find moist food easier to eat - something that is sticky, like cooked oatmeal. I still recommend fermented feed. You might offer both wet and dry and see which she ends up eating mostly as a side by side experiment.

For the wet food I've just been adding water to the organic chick food, should I be doing something different? I've never tried fermented food before. She has both wet and dry and tries to eat both. I also mixed some Greek yogurt in with some of the wet food but she wasn't too interested in that. Is the fact that she's still up and running around a good sign that she's eating at least a little, or could she still be living off what she had from the yolk sack when she hatched? I looks like she gained a teeny tiny bit today but that could just be an error with the scale, I'm nervous to even believe it. I'm so thankful for all of the suggestions

You have nothing to lose by trying fermented feed. Just take a liter juice container and dump a cup of chick feed into it. Add warm water (filtered if possible) to cover the feed. Add a teaspoon of ACV to jump start it (one time only), and place in a warm place. Stir twice a day, and it should be ready to feed by the end of the second day. You'll know it's ready when you smell a yeasty smell and it gets fluffy instead of its original flat, soggy consistency.

If she likes it, and I'm betting she will, just add a bit of feed and more water as you go, experimenting with thickness by adding more or less water to feed ratio.

The advantage of FF is the release of additional nutrients and probiotics you don't have with dry feed or even moistened feed.

Yes, it's definitely a good sign she is active. Behavior is your best indication of a chicken's health status.
