Baby Chick Napped?????

I was wondering if chickens eat baby chicks? I had a baby chick in the coop with a hen that was broody she stopped being broody and another hen took over with the remain eggs and the baby... All seemed fine for a few days and now sometime during the night last evening my baby chick was chickednapped.... would the other chickens have eaten him or what and if there was a robber in the coop why was he the only one taken?

Snakes will eat baby chicks.
I think if the adults tried to eat it something would be left of it.
