Baby chick nose clearing noise. Is this normal?

I now have the experience of raising a few small batches of baby chicks and I am probably paranoid. I always end up with a few that make this nose clearing sound once a minute. Most from previous batches outgrow it but I had one never outgrow it (now almost an adult). It sounds like a clicking/scoffing sound such holding you finger over one nostril and blowing short and fast with a little head shake. There isn't any runny nose or watery eyes accompanying this. I put latest batch of chicks back on paper towels wondering if it was pine dust with them being so small. I have tried to fix this with Vetrx with no results.

Thanks,
Anthony

Hey I’m having this issue now, did you ever find out what it was? Not sure if I should worry and I’m not finding any info online

Welcome to the BYC! I had a similar issue with my silkie, never came to anything. Could be something like chicken asthma🤷‍♀️
