I thought I would post a picture of our new baby.

One of my hens went broody, and started sitting on 5 eggs. Since our roo was killed just days before, I decided to let nature take it's course and see what would come of it. I honestly didn't expect any hatches, but lo and behold, we had one hatch! Peeked out there a few days ago and this was what greeted me. This hen isn't actually the mama, since it wasn't any of her own eggs that she sat on, but she is doing a great job with baby. Showing it how to be a chicken and keeping it warm during the cool nights. This is a new experience for us, so I wanted to share since we are very excited! I'll be posting a picture of it when it gets a little older to get help sexing it.
