Put up a temporary play pen so they could forage and scratch, they were having a grand time it's so funny watching them jump on each other and flap their little baby wings

They look like they are about a week to me, I'm not an expert by any means but that's my opinion comparing them to my 2 sets of chicks I have had to get this year.


X2 They look 5-8 days. Leghorns are fast-feathering -- mine was entirely covered at 4 weeks and started her first baby molt around 5.

This little boy hatched on Easter Sunday, so I had to share! He had a strange crust-like layer over his eye at hatching. Once dry, it peeled right off to expose a normal eye. Anyone seen this before? It is visible in the third picture...
