She loves her chickies. Lol

I love them so much, but they are scared of me!!! :(  How can i make them be friendly??

Don't feel bad my girls are about 2 1/2 weeks old and still scared of me lol I've heard it gets better as they get older and I have a treat medley I give to them out of my hand to get them used to me they will climb all over my hand and for the most part they don't freak out toooo much when I reach in the grab them they just don't like their legs dangling when I hold them I guess it throws their balance off

That's so cute!! My buff orpington is the friendliest of my grownup ones, she will follow us around. I will get some mealworms and hand feed them with those, I heard that helps.

Yeah, sometimes when I go in, mt chicks will walk over to me, but some others sound the alarm trill.

Make sure they are handled daily and (if you can) set up your brooder so that you are reaching in at eye/ground level rather than from above. When we reach into a brooder from above it simulates the way in which a predator (hawk) might swoop down on them. I've found that since I made my brooder door on the side (rather than the top) my chicks have acclimated to me much quicker.

My babies aren't exactly babies anymore, but I thought I'd share some pictures I took recently.
