My husbands fathers day gift(s) arrived today! They are so darn adorable! I can't tell which is going to be what at this point, but we are super stoked! Love having babies around!

Awh, so precious! Momma really looks like the babiesHere are some pics of our three new arrivals. We've only had chickens (3 hens and a rooster -all Buff Orpingtons) since mid April so this has been an additional exciting learning experience. As this one hen ('Gulon') went broody I decided to slip 3 of her eggs back under her. She has shown herself to be a capably committed egg hatcher. Twenty one days later we have 3 little peepers.
I got these pics today after she and the chics moved down to the sandy floor of the chicken tractor from the nest box.
Momma teaching the little ones about food (boiled egg)... I noticed she was even finding little sand grit pieces that she would pick up and lay down to them which they would eat. Within 10 minutes I noticed they were all selecting their own sand grit. As a treat I offered 'Gulon' a small bit of sesame seeds (which she loves) which she began to gobble down. Then she offered one to the little chicks and two of them tried to take it but apparently had problems munching on it so they both dropped it and didn't attempt to eat any more of them. Gulon, in turn quickly gobbled down the remaining seeds.
