In case you haven't ever had one this color..you will love it when full grown..they are beautiful..and they lay a beautiful..blue blue egg! This is a cute photo!

oh thank you thank you! I have never had ameraucanas before.. I love the wheatens and I LOVE their blue eggs I also have chocolate brown egg layers, I cant wait to make a beautiful dozen out of the contrasting colors.

You have blue wheaten amaraucanas then? Did the females hatch white, and the males hatch blue/black? just curious if it is possible to sex by color? it appears she has the female wing feathers...

My girl laid the prettiest blue egg. Real pretty. She also had that blue in her..loved it! Not sure about auto sexing. Wait for the tell tell sign of large comb big wattles..versus..small and small.

Mustard has been sexed, but not Dori. So we'll have fingers and toes crossed over the next few weeks!
