She wasn't the alpha, but she was certainly the quickest to learn and most personable of the flock so far.

She taught everyone else how to drink out of the horizontal water nipples, and the first to show everyone how delicious yogurt and earthworms were.

Unfortunately, she was also the first to learn to fly out of the brooder. <sigh>

Everyone in our house is pretty down today.. :/

No their smaller and Grey light weight the others bigger heavier big feet and yellow. I asked for Barred Plymouth Rocks.

Oh no... My heart goes out to you. My dog is a chicken killer as well--he's killed nine chickens so far just this year.

We had four chicks. My cat got one now we keep them in my bedroom until they are more chicken then nugget sized. So sorry so sad.

this is my chick she/he was hatched on march 20th. can anyone tell boy or girl yet?? my broody hatched her/him its name is lucky cause she/he escaped a hawk once already.....
