I have some in too.  I love the Austrlaorp. Man, can they lay.  My girl out side right now has been laying for about a month and a half, but I just got another double yolk from her a couple of days ago.  Great egg layers, I love these in my little flock.  I'm thinking this little one of yours..looks like a girl from just seeing what I can with the wing feathers.  Can't wait for mine!

Yes they def are great! So you think it's a female? I've heard you can tell by the wings but am kind of unsure on exactly how to do it.. Here's a close up of the wings:

It isn't always 100%, but when they feather out fast..which this one is!..then you can go by that. And, you want a pointy feathered look at around 5 days old. You will be able to see the difference better when you have a few to compare with. Also, the tail, usually starts out before the males..again, the feathering out faster. I think you have a good chance at a girl here. Also, see if there are two rows of feathering on that part you have showing, one lapping over the other, with feather tips on that top row as they are on the bottom row. Hope I am making sense..lol...she's cute.

Here are two Bantam Cochins, and a Serama. The two Cochins sure look like twins!

Here's my little Serama I call her Tiny Tot There are my Australorp eggs in the bator.

She is tiny!

One of the bantam cochins

The other bantam cochin Cute little feathered feet. :)

What a neat idea. Great shots of them growing up! Really showing those barrs on week 3! I love the barred rocks. I tried hatching some blue barred rocks, but only had two make it, and one was a pure black..no spot. The gal said she had been trying for a solid black, but never could get one, and of course, I wanted a barred! I also got a blue, but this blue isn't getting the barrs, which I knew could be a possibility when breeding with another solid. :(
