I need baby chick cuteness stat! This evening has been a disaster and I desperately need cuteness to de-stress.

A bit late, but here's some cuteness! One of our SSH's that hatched last night.

One of my 5 chicks at a day old... Now 5 days and growing fast.

Much to our surprise, one of our Polish crested hens went broody a few weeks ago. We originally tried to give her a clutch of purebred Polish eggs, but a skunk found its way into her nesting box and ate them all about halfway through. Rather than make her start over from scratch, I got her four chicks from the farm store and tucked them under her. She took to them right away, and is turning out to be a great mom.

It is a mutt chick a friend of mine called me up yesterday "omg there's a chick wife's in Mexico come take this chick pleaaaaase!" So come grab it...just got the speckled sussex now so the chick is less alone.

Hubs is less than impressed with me.
