Does anyone know how long it takes after separating breeders from the general flock how long it takes for the breeder eggs to be fertile by only the breeder rooster? Because I want to breed purebreds, not crosses at the moment! Thanks.

I think 2 - 3 weeks.

So sweet! Did any others hatch?
Sigh, unfortunately I think she'll be the only successful hatch of this batch. This was our first time incubating and we made some rookie mistakes which lead to some late quitters.

Pretty heartbreaking when you're a day away from the first pip and realize you've probably drowned your chicks due to a spike in humidity. We even set the eggs upside down.
