Baby Chick Pictures!!!!! POST!

ducks love the water at any age, but I have read to wait until they are 2 weeks old, it is when their oils come in.
Yeah, at this age they get wet and sink quickly so I only let them swim for a couple minutes.

As a kid growing up we had Rouens and a couple Pekins, several years ago we had Swedish Ducks. Ducks are just such fun birds to have in the yards.
Ducks are awesome, especially cause they have webbed feeties

Now there are 3, Vanestal, Hope (wyandotte) and Tami. One more egg is due to hatch on the 10th.
Adorable!

The Wild Bunch is (I think) 7 weeks old. I've kinda lost track.
Beautiful! Are they lavendar cuckoo colored?

Babies are 3 weeks old today! :)

I think the one on the right might be a roo? It's always been bigger than the rest. Or it's just a big girl... Time will tell.

Some have figured out how to make it up on their little corner roost! :D

Since they are 3 weeks old, would it be okay to start feeding them treats/fruits/veggies? I've been giving them grit for a week now, and let them nibble on a treat cake for an hour for the past few days. I'm planning on taking them out later this week for a little grazing adventure if the weather is nice enough.

4-5 days, Ameraucanas. 3 More plymoths coming soon!
I love their mini beards and peeps, if you are deciding on pullets or chicks, I would definitely recommend chicks.

Adorable! Mine are just starting to flutter between my hands and the ground. How well do yours fly by that age, Rock Home Isle?
Thanks,

Hello everyone!
The last time I posted in this thread, we just added 6 black star chicks to the brooder box we have our 6 Isa brown chicks in. Well at the time we were using a kiddy pool for a brooder box, the chicks made it work for the time being but have since moved on up to this!

A 53"x58" packaging crate . I modified the lid with small hole chicken wire and put that roosting ladder for them to play on

My new babies I just picked up today from the local Tractor Supply store (not ideal, I know, but dang cute!!) :3
The two dark ones on the left are straight run bantams, hopefully girls, named Charcoal and Lobellia. The two yellow ones are both girls, Buttercup and Brandy(buck). On the right is Freckles and Sweetie. Freckles was pecking at the dark ones' eyes so we put her in the room of shame. Sweetie is keeping her company and making sure she's warm enough.

I walked out of the room to clean and fill the waterer today; when I came back, 4 of the six were perched on the top edge of the aquarium. So I can attest to how high they can jump. :)
