Baby Chick Pictures!!!!! POST!



Ik to be careful. They are fine if used properly and the babies have space away from the light. I do have a heating pad ordered as well. Will switch out the light when it gets here. Honestly I probably could have done without it though as they will be moving out to the coop in a couple weeks and it's already in the 90's here during the day. Pretty soon a heating pad won't be warmer than the air.

Received my day old chicks this week from mpc. Growing fast. Excited for my new additions to my flock.

Is this molting or mites? I just bought her for 10 bucks and super worried... I'm thinking she was getting pecked. I was told she's an araucana. But not sure

She's a pretty little thing @justin7. Look near her vent and under her wings for suspicious specks. Otherwise, she may have been on the receiving end of an inexpert cockerel's attentions.

I did not check the vent, I will do that first thing in the AM. I have them seperated in the coop. But, I don't understand the specks thing. She doesn't have red skin at all. But my girlfriend did say that she felt warm when she picked her up. Should I give the new chicks some electrolyte stuff?
