Here are my babies at 3 days old. There are 7 RIR, 1 Mottled Java and 1 Barred Rock.
They are just over two weeks now and in a bigger brooder. Will post current pics later on.

We have a total of 44 new babies this year. They are a mix of everything. When I filled up the feeder the all ran over and started eating like little cows. We have some RIR's, Easter Eggers, cochins, favorolles and many others.

They did not like the grass on their feet the first day out and just kept lifting their legs up. We were in stitches. They got it and within minutes were all scratching the ground.

Our 10 little pullets arrived at the post office this morning. No casualties, everyone was fat and sassy. I ordered a few different breeds: 3 Black Australorps (black peeps), 2 White Leghorns (yellow with purple spot on head), 2 Light Brahmas (yellow with blue spot on head) and 3 Delawares (yellow without spot). This is our first brood of chicks and we look forward to watching them grow.

Well I have two hatchling that have hatched from my broody hen. She was not the layer

But she went broody and sat on the eggs the layer left! I have 9 more to go she is still sitting on! Here are the first two. (Well we had three hatch one did not make it through the night )
This is the first one that hatched, We did bring them in (put in incutbator) once they pipped as I had another hen trying to go broody and was sitting on top of the hen hatching.

2nd on that hatched. I loved watching them hatch. These are Black Bantam Silkies
